Cancellation Policies
OperatorHub has a unique, fully customisable cancellation policy to tailor fit to any buisness.
To add a cancellation policy, simply click on the create new product cancellation policy button. You are creating the policies based on the Cancellation fee you are wanting to charge the customer
- First select which products you would like to apply this cancellation for. Either all products, or choose to include/exclude certain products only. This enables you to create multiple policies across different product ranges if applicable
- Second select the Cutoff before Travel, this can be either minutes, hours days or weeks. This will be applying this cancellation policy up until the selected number of units before travel.
- Third select the Cancellation fee type you would like to apply. A fixed or percentage amount
- Once you have added the cancellation policy if you want to restrict the policy to a specific agency, you can do this. This allows you to create different cancellation policies that will apply to those agents bookings, direct bookings and website bookings.
When creating a cancellation policy, it is important to include a date that all cancellations are free until at a 0% cancellation fee, if this applies. Also a policy right up until the travel date and time. See example below of multiple policies working in unison. The first policy is to offer a full 100% refund if cancelled up until 2weeks before travel by. Within 2 weeks different fees will occur
- Full refund if cancelled outside of 2weeks
- between 2 weeks and 1 week a 75% refund will be given
- between 1week and 4 days 50% refund will be given
- Between 4 days and 2 days 25% refund will be given
- Cancellations within 2 days will not be given any refund
